talkSPORT hosts Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent have lined up an audacious bet with both full of confidence before their Manchester United and Arsenal sides face off.
Sunday’s teatime kick-off could be the most enthralling Premier League game of the season to date with two English giants and long-time rivals at a crossroads.
Both sides are desperate to clamber back up the table, and there’s some signs the pair both have it in them, with new eras in flow and an intriguing start to the season.
Arsenal seem to have finally found their groove now that Mikel Arteta has finished a squad overhaul, and a new fighting mentality is emerging, seeing them take five points from five games.
United, on the other hand, are far earlier into their rebuild, but after a horrendous start to the season suggested plans were put on hold, they’ve seemingly emerged from it.
Three consecutive wins and stellar new signings of £60million Casemiro and £85m Antony appear to be building momentum at the dawn of the Erik ten Hag era.
All considered, it’s fair to say a win on Sunday could be season-defining, and two fans couldn’t disagree more about who will take the three points.
Bent, a member of the Premier League’s 100 goal club, and Arsenal fan, collided with his fellow talkSPORT Drivetime host and United supporter, Goldstein, over who has had the best start to the campaign.

“Arsenal have not really been tested this season,” Goldstein began. “You’re at the top of the Premier League, don’t base that on anything.
“Fulham, newly promoted, Bournemouth, awful, Leicester, bottom of the Premier League, Palace, we were there, they were appalling.
“You haven’t beaten anyone where you think ‘that’s a good result’ we have. Liverpool.”
Bent came back: “You got battered by Brighton, battered by Brentford 4-0, scraped past Southampton, scraped past Liverpool, scraped past Leicester.”
After Bent said he wasn’t nervous, Goldstein replied: “Not even one little bit?
“Antony’s going to make his debut, Old Trafford, Casemiro, and we’ve sorted out our defence, Diogo Dalot all of a sudden looking like Roberto Carlos.”
Bent fought back: “Yeah I can’t wait until [Gabriel] Martinelli gets hold of him, I tell you that, runs past him like he’s not even there.”
“You honestly think you have a chance?” Goldstein asked. “Right we’ll have a bet on it.
“The bet is if my team lose I will wear the Arsenal shirt on Monday and vice versa, if it’s a draw no bet. Hand on heart, what do you think will happen?”
“I think Arsenal will win,” Bent said,
“What? Based on what? You just about won your last game,” Goldstein pondered before adding: “I was sure we’d beat Liverpool and I’m sure we’ll beat you, I think we will destroy you.”
